The Matina is one of the most popular hotels in the resort of Pefkos on the Greek Island of Rhodes. Many of the guests we spoke to at Matina had returned from previous years after having really enjoyable holidays, in a reasonably priced aparthotel (hotel plus apartments) with good facilities.
The Matina is one of the largest holiday complexes in Pefkos, with 9 blocks of accommodation, 2 large swimming pools, Meltimi Restaurant, People Bar, Matina Bar, Game Zone, Matina Supermarket, the Matina Laundry, and Matina Reception Building, all set in large grounds with extensive gardens. It certainly feels spacious, with evrything you need on site.
It's location makes the Matina a real winner too. It's located on the Main Beach Road, less than 100 yards from a really good beach with golden sands and shallow clear water.
The Matina's Facilities include 2 swimming pools (+ 2 kids pools) each with a bar (one being the popular People Bar), Game zone (Air hockey, pool tables, table tennis, computer games), Wireless internet to all public areas, 2 internet PC areas (with multiple terminals)
2 snack bars, Super market, Satellite tv with sport, 24 hours reception, well equiped children playground, Meltemi Greek restaurant, Luggage room in reception.
Meltima Restaurant is popular not only with residents of Matina, but people from other accomodation too. Matina is also very close to other popular restaurants such as Kyma, Lee Beach, the Greek House and Dama Dama.
People Bar is part of the Matina Complex but is along side the Main Beach Road. Again it's not just popular with Matina residents; thanks to the legendary Kostas' Quiz at 10 pm most nights this bar is is usually busy with a great atmosphere.
The Matina is so popular that a high percentage of guests return year after year, it has it's own fan website run completely independantly by guests, and a Facebook group with a huge following.
It's ideally located near to the beach and the centre of Pefkos.
